ABOUT

For 20 Years, I’ve worked with Skin as a Massage therapist & Advanced Beauty Therapist, I’ve Spent my years studying skin & the body, Caring for it & helping people feel more confident in their own. My career began by accident when I stumbled into beauty therapy, a move that later took me around the world working at sea, caring for people from every walk of life.

Growing up on a farm, I once imagined myself becoming a diesel mechanic. A few hours in a workshop quickly showed me that life wasn’t my path. Thankfully, my aunt and her friend Jo, who later became my boss and mentor, gently nudged me toward beauty therapy while I was housekeeping to fill a summer. (There may have been a few treatments involved in convincing me.)

I’ve always been incredibly lucky to have a family who supported every step, encouraging me to do more, be more, and trust my own potential. As a teenager, I would walk past tattoo studios and fantasise about becoming a tattooist. I never imagined I’d have the chance to enter the industry in any capacity, let alone build a career in it.

I dipped my toes into the tattoo world in 2019, but the timing wasn’t quite right. Life brought me back in 2023. This time with more experience, more clarity, and a deep sense of purpose.

This work is personal. Through both my grandmother’s and my Nan’s journeys, as well as the experiences of other family members, life has shaped my desire to offer healing, restoration, and a space where people can reclaim the pieces of themselves, they felt were lost. Every tattoo, cosmetic or fine line, is a moment of transformation. A moment where someone sees themselves differently, more confidently, and sometimes even “whole again.”

My entire career has been dedicated to helping people feel good about themselves in one way or another. Refined Ink allows me to take that to the next level, combining skill, artistry, and empathy into something meaningful. Creating work that restores confidence and holding space for people through that process is something I’m genuinely grateful to do every day.

The people behind my purpose.
